This guide walks you through setting up a Samsung Public Display running Tizen 7.0 with Fyresign.

How to set up your screen

  1. Turn on the screen and select your language.
  2. Connect the screen to the internet.
  3. Accept privacy settings.
  4. Select Manual settings.
  5. Set display orientation to Auto - content rotation is handled by Fyresign.
  6. Under Play via, select Custom App and enter: https://fyresign.app
  7. Click Go, then press the right arrow on the remote control.
  8. Skip the Connect to RM Server option.
  9. Set Auto Power Off to Off - this prevents the screen from turning off automatically.
  10. Set the correct date and time - this is important for the app to work correctly. Press the right arrow to continue.
  11. Set a PIN, or use the default 000000
  12. Press Home and select features.
  13. Select Custom App

The app will now install and start. The screen will display an activation code - you are ready to connect the screen to your account.

The app is not installing

These are the most common reasons the app fails to install:

Date and time are incorrect. The date and time on the screen must be exactly correct. Even a small discrepency can prevent the app from loading. Go back to the setup and correct the date and time, then try again.

The URL contains a typo. The URL must be entered exactly as written: https://fyresign.app Check that all characters, dots, and letters are correct. A single word character will prevent the app from loading.

Connect the screen to Fyresign

  1. On your computer, go to app.fyresign.app and log in.
  2. In the left menu, click Screens.
  3. In the top right cotner, click Add new device.
  4. Enter the activation code shown on the screen.
  5. Give the screen a name and click Save.

The screen is now connected to your Fyresign account.

Display content

  1. In Fyresign, go to screens and select your screen.
  2. Assign a playlist and click save.
