FAQ

What is the different between scaling and rotation?

Scaling refers to the format of the content slide - whether it is landscape (1920 x 1080) or portrait (1080 x 1920). Rotation refers to how the screen physically displays the content. If a screen is mounted sideways, you set the rotation to compensate. Both settings must match for the content to display correctly.

I changed the rotation, but the content still looks wrong. What should I check?

First, verify that the slide it self was created in the correct format. A slide created in landscape format will look streched or incorrect on a portrait-mounted screen, even if the rotation setting is right. Go back into the slide editor, check the scaling setting, and adjust if needed.

My screen is mounted in portrait mode. What do I need to do?

You need to do who things: create your slide in 1080x1920 resolution, and set the screen rotation in Fyresign to match how the screen is physically mounted. Go to screens, select the screen, adjust the rotation dropdown in the settings panel.
