Auto Power Off
Most screens have a built-in-power-saving feature that turns off the display after a period without activity.
- The screen goes black unexpectedly - either at the same time each day, or after a fixed period of inactivity.
- The screen comes back on when you press a button on the remote.
- The device shows as online in Fyresign, but the screen is black.
This setting is often called Auto Power Off, Sleep Mode or Eco Mode - depending on the screen brand.
- Open the screen's settings menu. Press the Menu or Settings button on the remote or directly on the screen.
- Find the power-saving setting. Go to General, System or Power. Look for Auto Power Off, Sleep Mode or Eco Mode.
- Turn of the feature. Set the value to Off or Never.
- Save and exit. The changes takes effect immediately - no restart needed.
Wrong Input source (No signal)
The screen is on, but it is set to the wrong HDMI input.
- The screen shows "No signal" or similar message.
- The screen is on, but completely black or shows the default TV background.
- Press Source or Input on the remote. A list of available inputs will appear on the screen.
- Select the correct HDMI input - typically HDMI 1 or HDMI 2.
No Slides Active
Your screen is connected and working, but nothing is showing. This usually means the screen has not been assigned any content yet - but it can also happen if a playlist has expired, content has been deleted, or a scheduling issue is preventing playback.

Check if the screen has been assigned content
If the screen is newly connected, it may simply not have any content assigned yet.
- Go to Screens in Fyresign.
- Select the screen showing "No Slides Active".
- Make sure a playlist is assigned.
If nothing is assigned, see How to show content on a screen
Check if the content has been deleted
If slides or content items inside the playlist have been deleted, the playlist may be empty even though it is still assigned to the screen.
- Open the assigned playlist and check whether it contains any slides.
- If it is empty, add new content or assign a different playlist.
Check the scheduling settings
If the screen uses a schedule, it will only show content during the scheduled time slots. Outside those slots, the screen will show No slides active.
- Go to Schedule on the assigned playlist.
- Make sure the content time falls within an active time slot.
- If you want the content to run at all times, remove the schedule or extend the time slots to cover the full day.
